After overwhelming demand for recorded material, Gentleman’s Dub Club’s ‘Members Only’ E.P was the first outing from this increasingly popular Leeds-based outfit. The E.P is a showcase of some of the tunes the GDC have been rocking up and down the country, and on hearing these it is no surprise that they are packing out venues from London to Leeds and everywhere in between. From soulful rootsy numbers like ‘Questions’ and ‘No Misery,’ to driving, dance-fuelled tunes such as ‘Party Boy’ and ‘Gentleman’s Sleng ft.Bongo Chilli’ there is enough variation here to display both the band’s tight-as playing and their ability to turn a normal crowd into a seething rabble.
