The Ranking Records collective have developed a reputation for keeping people guessing, and RAN009 is no exception. Heart Murmur centres itself around a loose, natural sounding groove, whilst the musical arrangement morphs between über funky, percussion driven techno to psychedelic synth-soaked dubstep. With enough deep bass to keep the dance floor moving, Heart Murmur rolls out on a warm otherworldly vibe, and will no doubt be a favourite for the clubs and festivals this summer.
On the flip is All Night, another beautifully constructed track, this time with a heavy Detroit influence that again shows the more soulful side of the Ranking Records spectrum of sound. A must have for DJ’s that still build their sets…
